Product Description
Created around Metallica’s October 1, 2026 performance at Sphere in Las Vegas, this Poster Canvas captures the opening night of the band’s Life Burns Faster residency through Landon Armstrong’s striking Welcome Tentacle Skull artwork. The vertical composition combines the scale of a concert poster with unmistakable Las Vegas imagery and a dark visual style that fits the atmosphere of the event.
The October 1 show marked the beginning of Life Burns Faster at Sphere. The residency carries forward Metallica’s No Repeat Weekend concept with paired Thursday and Saturday performances designed around different setlists. This opening night placed Metallica inside one of Las Vegas’ most recognizable modern venues and began a larger run of Sphere performances extending beyond the first October weekend.
Landon Armstrong’s artwork is dominated by a massive multi eyed skull with long curling tentacles spreading across the upper half of the design. Red eyes glow against black, white and gray shading while circular red strokes create a swirling background around the creature. The exaggerated skull and tentacle forms give the image a dark science fiction and horror influence without losing the bold graphic character of a concert poster.
Below the creature, the familiar Las Vegas welcome sign has been transformed into a “Welcome Metallica” centerpiece with Sphere Las Vegas, Nevada and the October 1st 2026 date incorporated directly into the design. A crowd of fans fills the lower scene beneath the sign with Las Vegas architecture visible behind them. Small details including Life Burns Faster imagery on the crowd’s clothing connect the illustration directly to the residency and reward a closer look at the artwork.
The strong red, black and white palette makes the central skull stand out while the tall layout keeps the event sign and crowd scene clearly separated beneath it. Whether selected as a poster or canvas wall art, the design works as a visual reminder of Metallica’s first Life Burns Faster night at Sphere and gives the event artwork enough space to display its smaller illustrated details.
